Which setup will be better?

Kicker *****, and that bd1500cp is going to pull 150+ amps, unless your alt is 150 amp your going to see voltage drop..

Might only be 1-1.5 volts but it's gonna drop..

your probably clipping the **** out of it unless you just got some bad subs.

Just replace um sell um and get a real woofer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

In all reality, if you dont have any feedback on my situation why come pad your post count? Im here looking for help, not opinions on the quality of the products i own. Also i do not have voltage drops. I see a constant 14-14.2 volts. Just because you may not like a product doesnt certify it as junk, but id say the markets opinion is more reliable than yours. I see LOTS of folks running kicker solo's in spl competitions all the time, so if they were junk i doubt they would have a good place in the market as they currently do.

L7s aren't the same as Solo Xs, though.

Really, you have an electrical problem. Check your power wire for shorts, change your grounds, maybe switch your RCAs, and make sure you aren't clipping(it's possible even if the gain is very low; you should borrow/rent an oscilloscope or go to an audio shop and have them check).

If you aren't able to diagnose this yourself(and it's very difficult for us to do this over the Internet with so many possibilities), just take it back to the shop, and demand a refund until they figure out why your subs keep getting burnt up. They're getting burnt up because of heat, possibly caused by clipping or excessive resistance in your wire, and the issue needs to be fixed or you'll just keep blowing sub setup after sub setup.

Just out of curiosity, do you have a link or specs for this box you have?

What brand is the wire you have? Is it true 2 gauge? Is it copper or aluminum?

These is almost the exact box. Mine is the coated version they offer and the terminals are a bit closer to the corner, but the inside spacing and openness is identical.

10" DUAL VENTED

Im likely going to have them replace my amp as well incase its bad and not putting out clean power or something. Im already in the works of working with a few folks here on a custom box design, but now that im getting 15" instead of the pair of 10" subs, a lot of re-calculations gotta get completed lol.

As for the folks running slolo's (i meant the solo-baric) line of sub's, so both the SOLO-X and and L7 line-up. I cant afford a Solo-X and the price of an amp that would actually push it and make it worth the $$

Unsure of the brand or anything on the positive wire. I just checked and the cables do not have any visible signs of defect on them from looking on the outside of the coating.

Ill also attempt to find new grounds. Currently 1 ground is in the back deck where your factory 6x9's would mount and the other is down in the side bolted in as well.

Hispls - are you saying the t1500 is too much for the 15" L7 also?

I've been around for quite some time, I know a great deal about this field..

Your going to get the same result..

It's pretty unusual for the amp to be putting out a modulated output but it is possible..

Take a volt meter put it on dc voltage and put it on the amps speaker output terminals.

That's an easy way to tell..

Also it doesn't really matter what volume it is if the gain bass boost is up your going to clip it almost instantly..

Kick has the shittest spiders, that's why the other ones started sounding bad //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Trust me your better off with any of the underground woofers..

Oh, yeah, this too. When I said 1500W wasn't too much, I was referring to the 10s.

So than i should call them back immediately and just get another pair of replacement 10"'s instead of a single 15"? Is the amp just too much for both a pair of 10's or a single 15?

Can anyone recommend a sub that is for SPL and can handle the amp ive got? I didnt think 1500 watts was too much and neither did the dealer, but i guess they say whatever to get a sale. Ill likely list up my subs on craiglist or something to purchase new ones if they are good quality, name branded subs with a good reputation. I like having all of the air suked out of the car to where you cant breath and than the bass just pounds till it hurts. I really love to jam mostly metal, but i will listen to some hip-hop when the woman's in the car with me.

Get rid of the kickers and go buy some Sundown SA12s...... I just replaced my L7 12s which were smoked...with 2 sa12s and I run a rf BD1000.1 . This combo works very well ... Plus the Sundown speaker can be reconed for cheap!! And their customer service is second to none!!

Well getting a refund is out of the question. The purchase was well outside of that time frame. Its either get another pair of L7 10's or accept the upgrade to a single L7 15".
