Which Ohm to wire at?

Oh that really sucks... I was talking to a guy at my work who "knows his car audio" and he said get the 2-ohm because you'll have a better chance of running them at 1-ohm... that's ****ed up. 0.5 = parallel2 = series/parallel

8 = series

If I were to wire them at 0.5 ohm then what would I do? My amp can only run at 1-ohm as the lowest impedance pushing 1200 watts.

prolly break something you bought the wrong subs for what you wanted to do

He was right if you were only going to run one sub. Sounds like a mis-communication.
