Which Ohm to wire at?

Hi guys I have a hifonics brutus amp that will push out close to 1200 watts at 1-ohm to two subwoofers. I have two 12" zeus 2-ohm DVC subs that are 500 RMS and 1000 MAX. Now I am wondering how I should wire them? There a a few wire diagrams that say I can wire them to 2-ohm or 0.5-ohm. Which one would I be able to wire them at? Would the 0.5-ohm be good or would it be too low for the amp to handle?

i would say .5 is to low, you amp will get insanely hot especially in the summer..... like now...... which will cause it to go into thermal protect and your bass will cut out periodically. unless you do what i did for my friends little kicker impulse. i built a little fiberglass tunnel for it and put 2 80mm blue led fans on either side of it, it looks sweet and it doesnt get hot anymore

also would putting the subs VCs in series and the subs in parallel be 2 ohms? bridge the amp = 1 ohm? or is it monoblock
It's a mono D class amp yeah. I was planning on wiring the subs parallel in 2 ohms or 0.5 ohms. How do I wire them to 1 ohm?
