all those ****...really. for the amount of money and power you have...these are the best you can get. Honestly...you came to this site for advice from people who know what they're talking about...people that have experience....so y ask, then not listen. Elemental designs will hand each and everyone of those companies their *** when put head to head with comparably priced lines. Also, eD's top of the line...(12" priced at only $270....) is much better than any of those companies can offer. So, check them out...they will be worth your money. Drop them in about 3 cubes ported @3-hz and you'll be wangin. peace

ED owns alpine, pioneer and all of those other commercial names...plus the type S has 600 peak, not rms I think...GET THE ED!

Since he's looking for brands and not actual quality, if he ends up getting the eD's, he'll be even more disappointed that they don't have a logo anywhere on them...(except somewhere hidden from view, I forgot where)

Wow! I just got my eD12kx from UPS while I was typing that response! the logo is on the very bottom - in other words - if it was in a box and stuff in your trunk, you'd have to take out the sub from the box to see the logo!

go with RE SE 12". though you could put more than 600W to it but, it'll serve your purpose. about $160 + shipping from http://www.respl.com

but if you'd rather go with a name you've heard of before, Alpine Type R is great. $100 + shipping, just shop around.
