Well it depends on the models.....but I think it's safe to say that most pioneer HUs are built more solidly, and will perform better.

x2...i like jvc i belive they make decent head units but i have noticed that they sometimes skip from bass at high volumes on some systems...give us some model numbers and then we will be able to help ya more.

hmmm well PIONEER HU model is DEH-P4659MP and FOR JVC i will conform .i can tell u only that abt JVC ,that is its mp3 player ....
