Ok so the DH Platinums are basically Odyssey's rebadged with a dope warranty and a lot cheaper. I'm sold....

Now, I have an escalade and will be running 3,400 watts. The battery calls for a group 78 so should I just go with the dual post 34/78? If so, I'll just get a matching one for up front and one for the back.

There is a marine battery which is the same price... Anybody know the differences?

Also, these are all AGM's?

i sell diehard battery's ill be happy to give you some info, your best bet is the 34/78 platinum which is a duel terminal battery so it just gives you more easy way to hook up. there is 4 levels of diehards now, all the platinum's are AGM

the silver = standard wet acid car battery, 1 year free replacement

the gold = strong wet acid car battery, 3 year free replacement

the advanced = strong agm car battery, 3 year free replacement

the platinum = stongest agm car battery 4 year free replacement

now the marines are different, there deep cycle, there is the standard black cased wet acid, and the blue cased agm, the agm marine will cost you about $280

if your running 3400rms you will need more then 1 under hood and 1 in rear, more like 1 under hood and 3-4 in rear depending on your amp/amps and how hungry they are. i have 1 34/78 under my hood and 4 31m's in rear and i have 2 saz2500's

it becomes a issue when you have that much battery and not enough alt though.. currently im having to charge my battery's in there down time with my diehard agm charger.. i have a 130a 14v alt and it cant keep up with them on long demo's but i don't drop below 13v running fult tilt

Ah, that's why... Yeah the amp it a soundstream DTR3400 and I'll be running the amp at .5 which maxes out at 3400. I'll probably be at 2-3k.

I have a 250amp alternator I'll be installing so that's why u was going with one battery in the rear for now.... Should I not get a DH Platinum 34/78 for the back also? I wanted to match all the batteries up.

250a alt is great, but need atleast 2 batterys in back to support the alt.. and you can do 34/78 in rear.. but there is no need only one under hood should be 34/78 so you can run your normal car leads off one set and your audio leads off the other.. you should run 2 group 34's in rear
