which battery to use

Well there are so many choices in today's market for batteries and I have personal experience with only one company, so im asking for opinions. The set up will be a Crescendo 5500 with 4 runs of power and 4 runs of ground with a mechman 270 alt. So if you will please give me your opinion on what battery to use and how many of them. Well I'll be the first to say it XS Power makes some really nice batteries and they are not too expensive for the quality you get. Check the Electrical Wiring Classifieds there's always nice deals I think there is someone selling some cheap Deka's that look nice.

wel i have ran xs power,batcap odyssey , kinetic,optima,and i say what ever your budget will allow,but personally for me odyssey.and with your amp i would say 1 battery [group 31]per 2000 watts rms should be good

What about 2 xs 3400s?

For 3500w these should work fine for you. One under the hood, one in the back?

Don't keep your flooded battery under the hood, they often do more harm than good.
