Which amp should I use for kicker 12inch comp?

that crunch sounds like a good choice. run it off ONE channel for the time being. dont pay attention to it supposed 1000 watts max. thats BS. the good thing about your choice of amp is, once you decide to break down and buy another kicker comp. 12, you can just add it on the other channel and it will work fine. so you have room for upgrade later. comps are cheap, but a really good starter sub. dont count on that amp putting out much more than 700 watts total AT BESt.
dude you have no clue what you are talking about

the gpv1000 is too much for his sub are you thick? you cant read?

he has 1 4ohm sub that amp is a 2 channel amp with 1 4ohm sub it will put out 500 rms!!! his sub is 150 rms...

i linked him to an amp that will work.... the 500.2 crunch... he will get 250 rms to 1 svc4 sub...

just stop advising people you have no clue what you are talking about whatsoever...

well if its bridged now, your on verge of smoking that sub. the amp will do about 600 bridged. your sub is 150rms so give ir take a max of 300-400.

to run single channel just connect sub positive to amp positive, then sub - to amp -. on channel one or two your choice. set gain accordingly, don't max out the gain, you'll overdrive the amp, and cause it to get hot and go into protect mode until it cools down again. its not really a risk of damaging anything just annoying to have the amp shut off repeatedly.

to adjust gain, start @ about 1/4 gain and turn up until it starts to distort and seems like it really isn't getting any louder. do this with radio turned up to the level you feel is as loud as you will be turning it. for example, i turn my radio up about 3/4 and don't go past that, so i set my gain w.radio turned up 3/4 way.

also what type of box r u running? sealed, ported. bandpass?

sealed for right now but later im gonna get ported.

so your saying i shud get this one?

gpv1000.2

RMS Power Rating:

4 ohms: 125 watts x 2 chan.

2 ohms: 250 watts x 2 chan.

Bridged, 4 ohms: 500 watts x 1 chan.

its under 1000$ and i know this guy that works in the audio section of frys and he says for under 100$ he woud get this amp ....

no and stop listening to that other guy he is way way way way way wrong...

get the pz500.2 not the 1000.2...

better yet get w/e you want I am done trying to help you and correct him...

your on your own...

dude your ******* wack you literally just said:

"the GPV1000 is the amp you want if thats the 2 choices...

you will get 500 rms if you bridge it..."

im not gonna ******* bridge it.

you said with the gpv1000.2 I would get 125 rms at 4ohms am i right? my sub info is at 4ohms 150rms

like idk why your trippin out then you tell me to get the 500watt amp but only put out 65.5 rms at 4ohms. so your confusing the **** outta me and not making sense alright.

and you sound like a ******* baby "better yet get w/e you want I am done trying to help you and correct him..."

i have no clue about car audio thats why im asking you people for help so stop makin a big fuss about it.

You are buying an amp for $100, for a 50-80$ sub. At 150 watts. It probably isn't going to make much of a difference what amp you get. Get an amp that does 150w rms at 4 ohms and call it a day. That's all there is to it...
