Which 8 has the best lows?

The enclosure will dictate low end response more than the raw driver will. If that answer isn't satisfactory to you, start comparing fs specs for the speakers you are considering.
Thanks for the response, but im total noob looking at the specs, what exactly would be the thing to look for? The tuning will be in the mid 30s ofc, it depends on what sub I get, i will probably build around manufacturers specs.

Not looking for a number thrower, just a daily driver that sounds good and gets low.

To be quite honest the Kicker L7 8"... In a large box, tuned around 32hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif
How large are we talkin, ive never dealt with a 8 ive only had 12s and 15s but im excited to see what an 8 can do. I figure a l7 8 wouldnt need anymore than 1 cube right?

Ive heard alot of good things about the RL-i8 and its response on the low end, seems there a little hard to find so it might be beneficial to take advantage of the opporunity to get one. The 1008 and E8s i have no clue.

i have expriience with l7 8s and he 1508 not the 1008... and honestly... l7s have a high fs and the 1508 sounds much better on the lows.
Yah if I culd find a 1508 for a decent price id prob go with that but i cant find them anywheres and if i do there like 150+, can get any of the others for well under, not looking for a big install just somethin quick and fun. My first choice atm would be the Rl-i8 just checking what others think bout the other choices before i make my final decision

my rli8's were much better than my dd1508's on the lows in manufacturer suggested box size/tuning. The 1508 were louder overall, but sounded like poo
What tuning did you have for each sub? For now Ill just be getting 1 see how i like it, but if they suprise me (which im sure they will) ill prob get 3 more down the road. Would 750+ be too much for a rli8? Im guessing a L7 8 will only take about 600 or so.

Been awhile but I believe I had around 500w on each rli8, had 750 on each 1508.
Rli's were tuned at 32, 1508's at 38hz
Nice, yeah I know DD suggests really high tuning for their subs and I really dont care much bout loudness, Im obviously not going bump around town with my windows down trying to get people to hear me lol, but a nice responsive sub that can get low is what i want. My tuning of whatever i get will prob be at or below 36hz. I would like to try E8s but i have about 600 +/- 100-200 or so watts to work with and i dont even feel comfortable giving a pair even that much.
