Which 15" sub should I buy that will pound hard with a Sundown 1500 mono amp

Hey,

I getting ready to upgrade my subs and I am wanting to replace my 4 15's for a better set that will be run on 4 Sundown 1500 mono amps.

Which sub will pound the hardest and handle the power?

Atomic Loudspeakers AP15.4

DC Sound Labs Level 4

AudioQue HDC3 15

You forgot to put the Funky Pups on that list. But you shouldnt run 4 of them, they have been known to kill babies while they are still in the womb.

Seriously though, its all in the install man. All of them should wang pretty hard in the proper enclosure andthe right install.

dc will get loud and sound good. i heard the hdc3 is loud but doesnt sound good

Yeah, I heard the AQ sounds "hollow". I've heard an FI BL and it got loud and sounded pretty good. Might wanna check into those too.

i just put a DC Lvl4 in my ranger and it pounds hard and its only going off of a MTX Thunder 1501d at 4 ohms with half gain as my SAE-1200 messed up.

you do realize there are about 1000 other good choices out there? and correct me if i'm wrong, but the regular level 4 is basically an re se and the hdc3 is a dd 9500 with lesser cooling... sq, maybe, but shouldnt the hdc3 walk away as far as output and power handling go?

you are right bout that. i thought he said 4xl. now 4xl it would be DC ftw but only a level 4 would get beat by a hdc3

4xl is better. it will handle more power by far but the 4 with 5 coils will handle heat a little better. overall its no brainer. ive asked rusty direct and the 4xl is better overall
