which 15" best on 3000-4000rms?

oh yea, and considering a 3000w rated amp, wont do 3000w all day, i dont see it smoking a btl. i mean, i do see a, member of these boards running a 4 40.1 to 4 15" btls.......

1) yes, a sundown 3000d does 3kw.....but with impedance rise its nothing close to that.....especially in a daily app

2) i ran a kx2500.1 with a birthsheet of 3kw on my 15" btl. ran fine until i popped the tinsels. coil was unscathed.....

music is dynamic. every freq will result in a different impedance rise. none of which will ever be as low as your DCR, even at tuning.
the sundown can do 3kw+. no body is arguing that, the issue is, how snb seems to think a 3kw rated amp will be giving 3kw at every single second of the song, regardless of an impedance rise than can climb into the 2 figure range.

its like the main issue that happened with the kicker zx2500.1 thead, when people actually believed a 2500w rated amp was still making 1500+ watts at 8.9 ohms. it was nothing more than apparent power that was WAY off because there was no accounting for power factor

In case you didn't get it I understand it all completely. Again you didn't explain yourself and said your amp won't keep up the power all day thus I thought you had a voltage issue. So sorry to try and help - Maybe next time we can get it right COOL?

1) 2002xlt gave a good suggestion

2) the sundown 3000d is not gonna do 3kw at every single freq daily

3) ill take the btl. i know it works. i dont know about the others, but from what ive read, most of them should keep up fine with a 3kw rated amp

The error of my ways was a misunderstanding in what was said. It was really simple and I didn't say anything wrong but was trying to help a fellow basser in maintaining his voltage. We were figuring it out and again a simple misunderstanding. Then when were about to figure it all out you come swingin in Like Tarzan on the worlds longest pube. Are you on here just to do your jungle cry or are you actually tring to help the situation? My references to my friends and past was just to let him know I'm not some jit tryin to start chit (thats your job I guess)

I don't need to look around threads and agree with people all day. I have chit to install. So keep on agreeing with whomever you feel is "right" and maybe you'll double your posts in another 3 years. BTW profession idiot fits well and thats not name calling. Just an observation
