why cause I state the truth...
..........as your profile name reads... im gonna follow that.. do the same

edit... where's your useful input on this thread buddyyyyyyyy??? so STFU and get out
not cause you state the truth (even though you dont), but because you're an idiot.

just like when you make threads asking for help, and then have an attitude towards everyone offering suggestions that dont fit in with what you wanted everyone to tell you. and now all you say is "ZOMG SUNDOWN BONER, BTL BONER I WANT TO BE COOL TOO ZOMG!"

oh yea, and considering a 3000w rated amp, wont do 3000w all day, i dont see it smoking a btl. i mean, i do see a, member of these boards running a 4 40.1 to 4 15" btls.......

Where did I make a thread and start arguing with people giving me USEFUL info...

and READ THE THREAD.. 3-4k rms

and who's runnin a 40.1 on a daily setup to a BTL at full power?

A Sundown can do 3K all day. Mine can do 5 K all day. Capable of over 7000 watts.

You are confusing me. I thought you owned a Sundown 3K. Why won't it do 3K

If you need help contact me through PM, you seem to have the basics down and I'm willing to help you out. heh

1) yes, a sundown 3000d does 3kw.....but with impedance rise its nothing close to that.....especially in a daily app

2) i ran a kx2500.1 with a birthsheet of 3kw on my 15" btl. ran fine until i popped the tinsels. coil was unscathed.....

3) Brian Owens

let me guess...you use a clamp and a dmm and multiply some figures to get "real world" power? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

ok, so Ronrico up there just PWNT you on 2/3 of those.. what is brian owens profile name?

and so your 2500.1 wasnt running true 3000+RMS....???

Does anyone but me remember the great 12 challenge?

Heres the results for the 12" BTL

Average SPL: 128.52 dBdB/Watt: 0.064 dB

Driver Notes:

  • Build quality is very good
  • Somewhat inefficient in power / output conversion.
  • the most most abuse tolerant design on hand
  • SPL Box testing was limited to 10,000 watts because the amps ran out of gas
    icon_smile.gif

  • Woofer will be ok with musical content over RMS spec (under 6000 watts)
  • Woofer will be ok with SPL burp power over RMS spec (under 9000 watts)
  • Woofer soaked up 6000 watts RMS for as long as we put it to it.
Special Thanks to Scott Atwell, and Fi Car Audio for providing this woofer for the test.

1) lol, no "pwnt"ing going on anywhere retard. ronrico seems to think apparent power is the same thing as real world power, and obviously so do you.

2) Brian Owens is the profile name....

3) ?
