Which 12" should I get?

I have a 2.5 cuft ported box and a brz1200 im looking to run at 1 ohm, i just cant decide on which sub to buy between the aq hdc 12 or the BL 12. Just looking for a loud sub with decent quality. Let me know which one to choose and why. I plan on replacing my amp down the line for a better 1200-1500 rms at one ohm as well so that could be a factor.

Basiccally im leaning towards the AQ, its cheaper and delivered faster. Only thing im worried about on that sub is I've read it actually handles 2k+ rms daily, im only gonna be putting around 1200 to it initially, will that cause a problem? will it beat as hard as the BL would with 1200? I don't know how it works when u get a high power sub like that on less then it wants.

I guess I'll make this simple, will the AQ be as loud as the BL would be on only 1200 watts in the 2.5 cuft ported box? Will it hurt the sub to underpower it if i have no clipping?

aq has a smaller magnet. will handle a lot of power but it take a lot of power to get loud. thats from what I've heard. i was thinking about going with aq until i heard this. not knocking it, cuz if you can give it the power it will get extremely loud, but id go with the BL

1st the AQ does not "need" that much power. That is an inflated falsehood spread around for some unknown reason.

As for the AQ/BL there are many factors, but I favor the AQ in this case.

As for the enclosure.... net volume and port area will make a huge difference in what will work better. I always suggest rebuilding when you change your subs.

Agree with all of this. Especially the bolded. I have no idea where that BS comes from. Especially since the AQ is 1k rms driver. I mean, wtf?

With that said... what's your budget? Are those the only two subs you're considering?

Looking to spend around 350 for a 12". including shipping. throw ideas at me if you want. and these anwsers have been conflicting and havent helped me yet lol. one says it wont get as loud one does :-/
