when volume plateaus and at about 80%

I agree they sound pretty good but in a van - I think 1 is just not enough. When you say set up right , what else can I do to improve ?

You arent gonna gain that much even when "set up" right. Box can be bigger, can add more power but for loudness, you might only get one or two clicks of the volume knob louder. Main thing that improves is low notes.

You could try and do a T line enclosure.

I like the T line idea. That single 3 ohm coil is the hardest part.

I can't say enough about how not good those HO boxes are.

 
Which Soundqubed subs are they? 2 15's in the right box with enough power will get much louder than what you have. I'm up by Six Flags if you need a box built for the SQ subs as I've built a TON of them....

 
Yeah just stay away from rockford p3s weak and **** sounding in comparison to everything else on the market thats why we said no in the other thread.

Yes more cone area is what he needs for a giant cabin like a van
