whats your ht sub

I'm a big fan of ML subs.
Im a big fan of ML altogether, my entire system is contrcuted of their products. Hoping to upgrade to a better set of their towers before long, but for now I have the Grotto servo driven sub, 4 of the montages for front and rear towers, and the motif for center channel (bad mamma jamma)

OEM 10's don't have 3HP motor's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
This is also a protoype subwoofer. If it was an OEM 10, I would have known //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Actually that is an OEM 10 from TC Sounds. They were available right before they went out of business. I have one in my home theater and it is great for the size and requires a very small box.

i have a 12" type r off a hpsa 1000r

what would be the best box size and tunning frequency? I use it mostly for music in my room.

building a new box 2morrow

I will be running a single Orion XTR12 SVC that I've had for awhile. I was originally thinking 2.5-3 cubes but I might go bigger with say 3.5-4 cubes. I want to tune it so it will pick up really low frequencys. It will be running off a Dayton 240watt home sub amp from parts express. The enclosure will be made of burch.

need some ideas what kind of sub, box, and amp are yall using in your ht setup.
Adire Rava...Shiva in approximately 1.5cF sealed, 250W plate amp.

I'd really like to go to stereo subbass when I get the room for it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

my current HT sub is a pair of the SI BM 10's that jacob had for sale in a 3cf box tuned to 27hz. i made a box simular to Thummpers icon test box. let me tell you, that thing hammers out the lows like no other. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Birch?
I'd stick with the 2.5-3 cubes... single 4" Aero tuned in the 20's...

I believe it was birch I read about that is better than MDF? If not, what would you recommend? I'm going to take some time on it and I wanted to use the best materials. Also, if I go with 3 cubes exact how long would the port be? Tuned to 23-25hz?
