What's YOUR credit score???

Smart move.

Any day now they can choose to litigate you, obtain a judgment which will attach to any of your real property (i.e. it will have to be paid off before you can purchase a home, sell a home, or refinance your home if you currently own) and leave you open to the potential for wage garnishment @ ~25% of your gross income. Plus you'll also owe them for court costs and attorney's fees.

Yeah....you really showed them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
You know, they're pretty much going to fuck you in the ***, right?
Good luck, dumbshit.
just been too lazy to get off my *** and file bankruptcy

so basically i will be screwing all you people with nice credit scores in the ***

enjoy paying for my stupidity with higher rates

BTW, for those who checked it in freecreditreport.com.
im not sure about how much u can rely on that info.

MY buddy just started working. Has no loans at all. Been using his credit card for 6 months only. and he got 750 from freecreditreport.com.

is that possible?
I'm not very familiar with Freecreditreport or their processes....but if they are truly running a credit inquiry and obtaining the score from one of the 3 main credit reporting agencies then yes, it could be. Though I've seen some high inconsistency in the scoring (which is the reason I find them to be rather useless in practice) I would find it pretty unlikely (but not impossible!) he has a 750 score with only 6mos on a credit card and that being his only tradeline.

I give credit score about zero value.

Last time I checked 640 IIRC. Not bad being out 3 years from bankruptcy. My wifes is horrible though and not sure how much that will drop me now as I just got married. I was going to pay off a lot of my debt this next tax season, but if she is going to bring me down, then don't know if I should. Would just rather have the big chunk of money.

Does anyone know how that works. I believe hers is in the mid 400's and she wants to go bankrupt, but I believe you have to pay a lot of your collections back now? When I did it, it was free and clear, just had to pay to file it and that was it.

Also it wasn't her fault, she just has shaddy family, well her sister and screwed her. This was from years ago though and they still call. I though it could only go so many years before they had to stop harrassing you. Anyway, hopefully it don't drag me down as I just started to make some head way with my credit score.

ok.

another thing from what i've heard when u apply any kind of loan (car, house, credit card) it lowers your score by 5-10 points.

What about late payments on the credit card, by how much does That lower your score?

And also as far as i know being late or being in time with bills like rent, cellphone, cable, internet doesn't affect your score at all.

About 691 right now... got a line of credit through Bank of America and "maxed it out" for business usage and it lowered my score 100 points from where it was.

Looks like a maxed out credit card with a ~25k balance on it to the credit agencies, even though I pay 200% of the minimum every month.

A regular loan wouldn't have dropped the score so much, but an un-secured line of credit is a revolving balance like a credit card.

Its look on as debt. From what I have heard in come classes I took when I was going to class, lol, even if you have a balance free credit card the amount is looked upon as debt...cause you can easily create it.

I don't know if it's right or not, but this is what it says on freecreditreport.com...

You may want to consider opening a major credit card, which is viewed positively by most lenders. Make sure you pay your bill on time every month and keep your balance relatively low to show other prospective lenders that you are responsible in paying your debts.

Not necessarily true.

For one, most credit agencies will "lump" any bureaus pulled within a given period of time (7 days in the case of Fair Isaacs) to "affect the score" as only a single inquiry. So you might have 10 bureaus pulled in a 3 day period while car/finance shopping and it will have the same impact as only a single inquiry.

Second it depends on how many inquiries you've had in a given period of time. Back to Fair Isaacs; Having more than 5 inquiries in a 6 month period placed you in a high risk category. I would have to speculate that additional inquiries (past the 5) would affect the score more than than a single inquiry in a 6 month period on a per-inquiry basis.

Moral of the story is that it doesn't affect you enough to really matter in the long run as long as you are applying for credit only when necessary as opposed to applying for a couple credit cards/etc every month. But the actual "amount" it affects the score is known only by the credit agencies.....and they aren't spilling the beans any time soon.

Too many factors at play to even guess. Could be a little, could be a lot. Just depends.

Most do not report to the credit agencies. However, if you go delinquent with them and it goes to collections, that will report.
