Dave's thread about the loan got me thinking about credit scores for some reason...

Credit - 778

I have been building credit for 10 yrs now and have never been late and do not have excessive credit cards or excessive credit checks to get approved for credit.

I did have Citi bank try to commit fraud on my account by auto signing me up for a card and was in my name for a year without me ever seeing the card or knowing anything about it until it popped up on my credit and was starting to decline if it wasnt fixed.

I called them and was pretty pissed and they said they would cancel it but... for a fee. I went off then she agreed to wave the fee..... Ya ThinK?

That record got dismissed off my credit so it's pretty good right now.

I'm wondering how to surpass 800. I think i might have to buy a house because i've done pretty much everything else.

holy shits , thats low.

i used to be able to pay at least double my minimum payment , but since the courts like to rob my bank so i can stay out of jail , ive been barely getting by.

building mine up right now, just purchase a new 06 silverado to help me. put 7000$ down on it and financed the other 15000$. it sucks though when you take out a loan with no credit because your interest rate is ridiculous. mine is 14%. but i will be refinancing with my bank come january and get it down to 6.5%. then my payments will only be around 250-270 a month. right now they are 375$ a month. but im overpaying. so far my payments havent been under 425$ a month.

hopin to get a great score. its tough to get anywhere when your credit sucks
