for that you could get pretty **** close to putting in a decent front stage, some ok rear fill and a small 4 chan to run it, if you know how to shop. but its up to you if you want to run an amp in there or not.

id say get a decent head unit, a set of 6.5s for the front, and a decent 2 channel for now. Would be a bit more than 300, but worth it imo.

very true. but i wouldnt suggest doing anything until he at least understands the basics of car audio. and can do it himself with out screwing something up.

See the only problem with getting a new head unit is the way the dash of my maxima slants and how big it is I don't want it to look dumb

Yeah just no1 in my family does electrical, just engine. So I haven't had a chance to learn. But I will.

and once you get to the point that you really know what your doing with it, it can become a fun way to make a little extra money on the side.

Yeah and really I'm just lookin for something to hold me over because I want a ground kit then I'm gonna read up and get subs. But I don't want to get garbage speakers either.
