the sub sonic is meant to keep out all frequencies under what you have it set at. for sealed boxes you dont need it, but for ported playing frequencies below what you have your box tuned to is bad for the sub.sub sonic is just like your lpf...just does it at the other end. so basically it sets a cut off for how low in freq. the subs will play. if it is set high and the lpf is set low it gives you a very smap window of playable music... does that make sense at all?
