I don't need one of these
OK so round 2 went MUCH better... I actually feel like bragging. I have 1 last peice to do and it's drying so I had a little time.... to be honest I feel like a pro... now it better look nice in my car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif :D

It's actually about 95% of what I hoped for but it's only my second time.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

No doubt, peel the vinyl off, glue or screw the rings down, fleece and resin it, then vinyl the whole thing. Use some heat to help get the vinyl to stretch and use a good glue to help it set and it will look 100% better.

this way was easier and will produce much smoother/seamless results... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

and I'm happy with attempt #2... getting the right glue helped fix the mumps look

Its definately better, but why not mount the rings, then vinyl the whole thing?
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/iagree.gif.15d6c075ee8d3913ba26866d06993068.gif That is deffinitly an improvment but third time's a charm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif There are several noticable creases around the mounting rings.

I know... about 1/2 of those are gone now.... it's in spaces where I didn't let the glue try totally so it doesn't stick well... I pushed on them later and they stuck....

still not 100% but not bod for attempt #2; and final for now... I still need to vinyl my sub box...

haha everyone was so nice in the disaster pics thread then I post new ones and people pick it apart //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif....

I'm ok with this for now... I'm sure they'll get yanked within 3 months and something new done... if I hadn't screwed up my door panels in the first place I would have done a teardrop shape...
