whats it all mean

sub sonic is just like your lpf...just does it at the other end. so basically it sets a cut off for how low in freq. the subs will play. if it is set high and the lpf is set low it gives you a very smap window of playable music... does that make sense at all?
the sub sonic is meant to keep out all frequencies under what you have it set at. for sealed boxes you dont need it, but for ported playing frequencies below what you have your box tuned to is bad for the sub.

Is the amp even turning on? I didn't see you mention if it did. If it does turn on, A) Make sure your lpf isn't turned down to where your subsonic is turned up or it won't be playing anything. Turn the subsonic to like 20 then your lpf to 80 to check. If it turns on, and your lpf and subsonic are fine and your non fader out on your H/U is on and not turned all the way down, check where your gain is. If it's all the way down you won't be hearing much. Also make sure the RCA's are plugged into your H/U's SUB out.

well i have the rca's hooked up correctly, all the settings on the amp are fine, and i still dont get lows. would having small *** speaker wire have anything to do with it? i was gonna put some 10 awg in today but i got called in to work. right now its like 16 awg speaker wire.

edit..by the way, my head unit is a pioneer 6700 mp

edit edit..it seems to be alot better with bass boost 3/4, but i was told bass boost is a no-no.

i turn the bass boost up half way, and it sounds the same as if it was off. i turn it to 3/4, and you can hear a huge difference.

Man, I guess I give some people more credit than they deserve... heh.

Make sure the RCA's are on sub-out...

Check you ground.

Don't use bass boost.

Is the only thing you changed about this setup the wiring?
