Tryna make my car a little quieter. Not tryna go %100 cause I don't have thousands to spend on Resonix. I know about how to layer it and what generally works best and where to use it. Wanted to to MLV on my floors up to the firewall but I don't want to use it anywhere else.
Mostly cause I've heard it's hard to work with since it's heavy and doesn't like to stick vertically and I don't want to add an extra 200 pounds in sound deadener/blocker. Also it's kind of pricey

I wanted to do some find of absorber over the decoupling layer on the door panel and roof, but I'm not sure where to look for good materials. Resonix recommends thick fibrous or pouros material, but their cheaper thinnest absorber is $99 for just 12 sq ft which is maybe enough for 2 1/2 doors and I'm not that well off. Google searches bring up that weird OEM stuff that looks like sheets of pocket lint, theres Boom Mat under carpet liner, maybe melamine sheets? But those are kind of pricey. Would a wool blanket work?

Thanks
