it says your friend is retardedif this says anything I had a friend running a cvx and cvr in the same sealed box. 3 weeks later the cvr was horrible messed up.
that is my point all of my friends who use kicker just don't understand a single thing about car audio or how the application mattersit says your friend is retarded
youre also looking at $750 for a Kicker 2500 (which you already have). same power, just not "constant power" but that doesnt matter if youre running a 2ohm load anyway. But im talking about $1000 for 2500 cp watts not 1000 watts
there is a point where the price gap just gets stupid. Like the W7AE. Its a 10 year old sub all they did was paint it black and market it. JL charges something like $300 to have it autographed. I sent Rusty a email and asked him to sign my subs. Did he charge me? Hell no. And I got a tee shirt and stickers.youre also looking at $750 for a Kicker 2500 (which you already have). same power, just not "constant power" but that doesnt matter if youre running a 2ohm load anyway. What i was saying though is that while your are willing to pay more for the RF CP amp because you like it, even though other amps are cheaper and do the same power, then why should it be wrong for a person to go buy a JL sub that costs more than maybe a SA or DC when they clearly like the JL sub?
not saying youre guilty of this or anything, just making a point
i agree the price gaps get retarded sometimes but you also have to consider the person's goals and circumstances when trying to help them. While a DC level 3 will get louder than a w6, cost a bit less, and probably take more power, if a person asks for an SQ sub of those two...which is the better choice? Sometimes ya gotta pay to play, if a person is willing to pay for that name and the performance that comes with it, they have a right to do so without being told how stupid that was IMO.there is a point where the price gap just gets stupid. And the Kicker was $650
But they also have to understand how to set equipment up to get the most out of that W6. If they are not planning on a proper install they might as well run xplodes in a pro bass boxi agree the price gaps get retarded sometimes but you also have to consider the person's goals and circumstances when trying to help them. BTW, DC's customer service is AWESOME! I wouldnt hesitate to buy a DC sub whenever I do go back with an SQL/SPL build. No experience with JL's customer service so no comment there.
not in all cases. i've seen the w6s online for about $300 shipped new. Name a sub thats "much better" for the price....and I dont just mean louder...my buddy has kicker cvt subs in a sealed enclosure and they get real loud but dont sound all that great, and his system is set up right, hes got good electrical and has a kicker 750.1 amp and i set his amp with the dd1. i like jl but like everyone says much better can be had for the price.
this is true with all subs though. If you setup a DC XL wrong watch how quiet that sucker is!But they also have to understand how to set equipment up to get the most out of that W6. If they are not planning on a proper install they might as well run xplodes in a pro bass box
Very true.. I plan on doing a SQ and the W6 is a great sub but I'm willing to pay a bit more to be differentthis is true with all subs though. If you setup a DC XL wrong watch how quiet that sucker is!
nothing wrong with that bro. There's always the Morel Ultimo, Hertz Mille....Very true.. I plan on doing a SQ and the W6 is a great sub but I'm willing to pay a bit more to be different
