Whats different from when you a were kid?

And i dont mean car audio wise though you can talk about that if you'd like. I am always interested in what the roots of it all was like.

I feel like foods taste different now that im older...especially doritos 0_o.

What have you noticed in your life that seems to have changed as you have gotten older?

gas prices first of all!!!!

I remember Big macs and Whoppers were like 2 for $2, not 2 for $5 which they are now. As far as food, lots taste different now because of the additives the now put in them. Doritos, cereals, etc. Even the portion size. Look how small a bag of chips and candy bars are, like a snickers bar for example.

I can remember when gas was 75cents a gallon. When family actually meant something, and you couldn't see peoples underwear. Also, when children acted up, any adult could correct them, and kids had respect.

i remember Saturday mornings!!! Wake up,eat cereal, watch cartoons, and then head straight outside. Nothing like riding your bike with friends in the neighborhood. Just not the same. Kids complaining its too hot outside and there minds are under the control of electronic devices(phones, tablets, ipod, etc). We may had one fat kid in the neighborhood but thats it. Not the obese kids you see nowadays.

My son always says his school lunch *****. Schools now try to serve healthy lunches in which the sacrifice taste. Back then, we ate all kinds of stuff. More than we should....but never got fat. Just being a kid playing ws all it took to stay in shape.

every **** thing .... gas was .53/gal .... smokes .53/pk ... even bicycles were gay as **** until BMX .... arbys roast beef was 5 for $5 .... the roads were all gravel starting like 1 mile from my house ... we rode our dirt bikes to one anothers house without hassle from the sherriffs dept... and being someones best friend actually meant something, you weren't bff's for the week, you had each others back, always ... And car audio was a push button am/fm with a sparkomatic booster/eq and kraco 6x9's .....lol .... And the tv was a 19" blk & wht Zenith hooked up to an antenna that got like 5 stations ....

I remember $2.30/hr ... it went up to $3.35 in 1981 ....and stayed there until around 90-91 I think ...

my first "job" was a paper route, and mowing lawns ... then on to working on farms ....and was always around helping my step dad with the race car, or at the body shop trying to help ...

I'm only 26 now but I remember as a small kid growing up on a military base every morning waking up to go and ride bikes, play soldier in the huge grass fields behind the houses, playing roller hockey all day all summer, replacing the wheels on my roller blades a couple times a summer because I played so much. My bike was my best friend lol. I would replaces tires from skidding too much, and then take the whole thing apart and spray paint it. My dad was outside with us whenever he was home. He was nearly the neighborhood father. Always playing games and helping us build bike ramps. All the dad's would be outside playing with the kids. It was as ideal of a situation as is possible for a kid growing up.

Now the kids act up and people hand them a ******* phone or tablet and turn the child into a zombie. No more discipline. No more exercise. ****, I never acted up because I had the fear of disappointing my father and the fear of his hand tanning my ***. Kids don't any more. They are lazy, disrespectful, fat pieces of ****. I could go on and on. I wanted to beat this 12 year old up last weekend because he wouldn't give me his umbrella to walk his great aunt to her car in the pouring ******* rain. She had a **** stroke a few months ago and cam barely move. His dad finally made him give it to me. I wanted to beat him with it.

The end of my rambling.

TL;DR

Kids nowadays are fat, disrespectful, spoiled piles of ****

who remembers the least min wage? As far as I can remember, it was $3.35/hour....my first job at KFC
3.15$ when I got my first job at the local hardware store. As has been said, gas was 80 cents a gallon, a pack of smokes was under a buck, a coke machine was a quarter for a can.

Bruce Jenner was a man and on the Wheaties box, Afghanistanis were "freedom fighters" and we were arming and training them (remember Rambo 3?)

Centipede, Pac Man, and Donkey Kong were amazing graphics video games.

Women didn't have tattoos unless they were in a circus act, people were embarrassed to make a "living" off collecting government checks.
