Whats different from when you a were kid?

Guess I'll continue to keep this thread alive...

Riding in the bed of a pickup truck. Now it's illegal in some states because for safety sakes (Go figure huh lol)

Or a gunrack with a armed rifle/firearm in the back of grandpa's truck. Same deal. Also illegal in some states.

Riding in the back of a pickup truck is my favorite thing to do in the summer, haha. Don't know why, but something about it is awesome

Especially fun when you're drunk. If need be, you can throw up out the side

And i dont mean car audio wise though you can talk about that if you'd like. I am always interested in what the roots of it all was like.
I feel like foods taste different now that im older...especially doritos 0_o.

What have you noticed in your life that seems to have changed as you have gotten older?
i clearly dont remeber ho alts and racks of batterys with the earlier systems... lol and my first big amp was a colossus.... lol the black one....

And...most early amps didn't have built in x-overs nor LPF as they do today. Had to use a separate crossover to them.

seems the kids toys are getting super lame compared to the 80s.
Here's a new toy for ya

I'm 22, so not much. I remember I could get 3 Hershey's Cookies and Creams bars (Thats my *****) for a dollar when I was like 8. Now I think its 1.25 for 1. So that inflated like, 3.5 times the cost. I also think parents are more over protective. I started riding my bike to school in 3rd grade (school was in the neighborhood) but rode my bike across town by the end of 4th grade to school. Parents seem like they don't let there 12 year old kid go to the park down the road now.

where i live,we have a bulk trash pickup. its basically an anual thing where u can clean out your basement, attic, garage, etc and all items you want to throw away, you just sit it on the curb and the trashman comes and takes it away. The amount of bikes people throw away is unheard of. Man,back when i was a kid, throwing away a bike is just something that did not exist. If you ever seen a bike on the curb,it was like winning the lottery. Tires,handlebars,seat,chain,frame......reflectors in your wheels even. soo many options and ad ons to ad onto your bike.
scoop those bikes up!

Indeed. Most toys were made of metal...built to last.

Now...plastic junk that break easily. Blame the companies/manufacturers for taking a diff route in cheaper products.
