Cause i dont think im getting that at all.

my setup is in my sig

1 aq hd3 1.5ohm 12'' sub wired at .75 ohm

1 rd 1750.1 amp (1800 rms)

box is 2.25 cubes tuned to 38hz areo port

eletrical: 0/1 gauge run from battery to distro blocks, and distro blocks to 2 runs of 4 gauge for each amp.

same with grounds.

I seen the flex that people have with my same exact setup and its no where near where i think it could be. so im dis-satisfied. any idea how to get louder?

i dont have a pic right now. port areo is areo port with pvc pipe. port fires out the side near the fender wall. sub fires toward the back. port is 4'' areo and 18'' long. wedge box

35LX14HX 6-Wedge1 X 12-wedge2

2.25 cubes right now. i deleted pics ill get pics tommorow

would tuning it lower help with "flexing"? I was thinking about saying that.. but wasn't 100% sure.. 38 isn't really "high" but I would have that shit tuned much lower IMO..

BUT I haven't ran or heard a HD3 before, so I don't know how they sound at diff. frequencies, but if it was mine, I would have it ~32hz.. just me maybe?

dunno.

140 on music is pretty loud. the kind of loud that people that have never heard 160 before go OMGS IS THAT REAL!?

but to me, its just a loud daily driver. its average IMO - but way above average to like 90% of people lol.

my 1 immortal can get **** close to 140 on music with it tuned at ~36hz or so.. have adjustable ports and stil messing around.. but I think its loud for a daily.. IMO.. I have 2 of them but i cant figure a way to fit both in the trunk of my civic //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

add another 4" aero. i think one is only like 12.5 sq.in.
yea its roughly equal to about 25^2 in of a slot port. a little shy of what AQ recommends at 16^2 per cube. maybe try to get 1 6" aero? 1 6" aero has more port area than 2 4's (roughly equivalent to 56^2in of slot port area).

but it seems like you might be limited in how much room you have to play with. more port area is going to require a longer port.

and more power never hurt anyone...

Im trying to get to 140. it sounds nothing like that right now, its decently loud, but from the reviews that i heard and the clips ive seen i know it could do alot more. hd3 has been in the 148s and should be no prob doin 140 daily for music, hell i would be happy with high 130's.

I know Hd3 in general are subs that are to be tuned high. normally 40hz, i tuned it to 38hz i believe since i listen to mostly rap and hiphop so im tryin to get the lows and i want those lows to HIT. something im not getting right now and also not happy with.

Im not exactly sure what my port is tuned to, but from my calculations its 38hz. so how would i go about chaning the port?

Ok, i have 2k worth of power, hd3 12'', Custom box loud built to my mustang specs. i am not loud, what am i doing wrong? help me get to 140
