What would you run?

What sub is this 1 12'? I like single sub setups, especially when the alternative is decently low power subs. This would also make it easier on you when it comes to wiring configurations, amplifier selection, and box specs.

Oh and the other subs would be either 4 kenwood 3013d4 , or hifonics hfx12d4

On a hifonics hfi1500d

Back to the Basics as we all say.CONE AREA.4 12s are going to out perform a single 12 in most cases.I dont care if its a 2k rms 12.If you give the 4 subs the min air space needed, they will perform very well compared to a single 12 in air space.Ported perform nicely, sealed will take more juice, and be a little Cleaner.Id do ported 12s @ approx 1.8-2.4 cu ft @ 32-38 htz depending on the subs chosen, but decent reference for most that Ive dealt with for 12s,and Heavy tens

Itd be a ported 6 cf box each sub with just about 1.5 after displacement in their own chamber , or the one in a t-line or possibly just a max space it can handle built for spl,or sql

That should sound Very nice with 4 subs/Get down when you want and smooth when not at full tilt.Ive always liked sep chambers for subs.Seem to perform better to me for some reason, rather than a shared chamber

Oh yea and if one fails it cant take the other 3 with it
Exactly. You can still have some kind of substage and wire to a different configuration, rather than having ba Gap/hole waiting on another sub to come in.Im a Firm believer in single chambers, rather than Shared for Daily setups.Comps, Shared is/seems best for numbers being chased it seems.

My neighbor has a guy that comes over time to time to visit the daughter, and put in a pair of SVC 4 ohm 250 rms Kenwood 12 in a sealed box he built,in which looks really nice, and bought an Xtant XTC 600.1 amp from me and we put them in his 05 single cab Ford, and she sounded very nice.I was impressed by those subs for as cheap as they were.$60 bucks for the pair, and about $40-50 bucks building the box and painting/wiring,and she gets down very well.

Yea I just cant decide on the kenwood or hifonics I used ta run 4 hifonics but they were all in one single chamber I wasnt too impressed so I figured buy 4 new and rebuild

Believe it or not..The Lanzar Max Pro subs on the dirt Cheapies get down very nicely for the money/very impressive.I think you can grab up 4 for a set around $100 bucks, and worth every penny

I read reviews but never believed it can they handle their true rms it states , and would I be able to beat on them for 2-3 sometimes 5 hours a day conctantly?
