What would you guys do? (buyer problems)

Wow -- if he knew that he did not know what he was doing then he should not have tried to wire it up himself.

But this "extortion" **** he is trying totally *****.

I really feel like you need to tell us this guy's name. You may think you are being a nice guy by not disclosing this info, but what you are really doing is setting up the rest of us for a bad deal in the future. Be a good citizen and spare the community this grief.

If you do not, I am going to start a thread about you.

dude **** that, i wouldn't give him a dime. you all ready went way out of your way, its a cheapo anyway. i don't know what he expected but admitting that it worked at one point as doesn't now, there is no way he can put it off on you

agree

wow, what a putz. i sold an ecu to a guy a while back, same thing happened. the ecu came out of a car that had a broken timing belt, i bought it as is. so for the t belt to break, the car had to be running, duh... well he says the ecu was fried and showed me pics. well, i said there's no way, the car was running, before the t belt broke, and it sure wasn't running if the ecu was like that.

now we all know a t belt doesn't break sitting ina field, nor does it fry an ecu. he wanted a refund, i said no, i told him everything i knew of it when i sold it and i never gave any warranty on it.

well here is my final response to him, maybe he will show up in this thread??

Ok man, i understand your frustrations, but i sent out a fully working headunit, which you received and admitted to working before you started hooking it up. Then you unhook everything and it doesnt work and you fry the radio. The directions should not have mattered, and there was no mention of them in the auction and you did not ask for any help until you had already received the unit, which i tried to help as much as possible. But dont sit there and try and extort me to give you a refund so that i can get the feedback from you that i deserve. In all honesty, ive done enough transactions to not really need your feedback, so if you dont want to leave any i understand but dont think you are hurting me by not leaving any, in fact it really just shows your maturity level in not being able to admit that you did something wrong. You will not be getting any type of refund from me as i sent out a working unit, and it was recieved as such. After that, its not my problem anymore. If you did not know how to install it, you should have
A) Looked online for the manual, or atleast a comparable pioneer unit (most are the same basic diagram)

or B) Taken it to a shop so you could blame them.

As for the receipt, for that i take full responsibility, you did ask for one, and i completely forgot when it came time to ship out. If you still need one, im more then willing to send you one in the mail.

Im sorry things had to go this route, but let this be a lesson learned.

And if you want to try and get some money back, i would suggest trying to sell the faceplate on ebay, as it has been tested obviously to work and nothing you did should have changed that, then sell the rest of the unit as a non working deck and see what happens.

And one last thing, if you think i am being unfair, i suggest you read through this thread i made, without mention of your name to get a feeling of what everyone else thinks.

I agree, and in time.. Im trying to see if he shows up in here himself.

lawl @ no instructions.
hes on the fucking forums, he has internet, tell his dumbass to look up his own god damn instructions.

lol

The guy has 2 posts not counting those in your for sale thread. I don't think he can effect your rep.
True, i just wanted to make sure my initial reaction was right. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

He hooked it up and said it was loud and worked fine. He hooked it up again and burned it up. Thats his fault, not yours. He messed up and instead of taking a loss he's crying over it. Keep your cash and don't give it a second thought.

  • No warranty was implied.
  • Sending directions on how to hook it up isn't your responsibility. Buyers Responsibility to educate themselves.
  • He even verified it worked.
  • What good is a receipt on a 10 year old deck?
  • He is clearly attempting blackmail and is a real douche for it.
  • Hooked it up right the first time aparently, but couldn't do it right the second time?
  • Did they even ask for help the first time or admit ignorance to installation?
  • Don't give back squat and tell buyer to take a flying leap.
