What would you do if boss said you couldnt have off for friends funeral?

My friend got killed 2 days ago and he is being buried tomorrow i am 17 and my boss wont let me off to get to his burial he said me going in the morning to see him them leaving is enough but i want to go to the church and the grave sight this is just a part time job i am considering quitting.

what would you do?\

also its a part time job at a gas station and the boss is a dick head that always rip ppl off and hes lost so many customers since he took over and i pissed at him half the time.

I would come in to work and then wait untill there are alot of customers then quit.

the only other guy that could cover is also going with me to the funeral we are all highschoolers friend that got killed was 17 also. he got in a wreck with 2 of his friends and him and another guy got killed and driver with hos seat belt survived. friend was thrown threw the wind sheild.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. I would probably quit if your boss wont let you off to go to your friends burial. When my best friend died my boss said take as much time off as you need.

in 20 years, you'll forget this job even existed at one time, its gonna be opposite with your friend. ive lost a few myself but thank goodness none of my bosses said such a thing to me. plus, youre only 17, not like you are married with kids and a mortgage. another job will come along.

id not show up but then go to work on my next scheduled work day and id just tell him "hey man im sorry but man to man its somehting i had to do. im sure as a man you can understand" if he goes to fire you just laugh and roll.

yea. just dont go. but dont quit. if he wants to fire you after this then let him. but mabye he will understand if u just dont show up. i know working at a gas station. i've had to cover for the guy who is supposed to come in after me for 5-6 hours some days. and if its the boss who is working when u supposed to come in i doubt he is going to close.
