Really? i heard it meant a lot, like how loud they can get because you add 3db after every time you double the power, correct me if im wrong. That sensitivity spec is useless. It's measured at 1 watt. A lot changes after 1 watt.
i mean i thought 350w rms was a lot at 93db but back to the how many vs quality, i thought about that my self about 15 mins ago, you think Dcons are the best out of all the listed ones, i mean they only need 1cu ft ported the closer to .75 the better also the 400rms each on a 750rms amp wouldnt be a problem only 50rms over and SMD did a test on the amp below mine in the JBL GTO series and it pushed so much power over what it claimed. You think that those will sound best with my gear?Like I said. That spec is measured at 1 watt. All it means it's a bit louder at 1 watt. That says it has lighter soft parts with a softer suspension. That says it won't play under 40hz or take good power very well. Low power subs normally have a higher sensitivity. It means they will max out much faster.

I mean 8's are really small i would rather take my chances with 2 10's in .75 + polyfill. Im thinking about those Dcons now, think those will be the loudest out of all of them?Don't count on having more power than claimed ever on any amp. You are not using a test bench and resistor. If you want that small go 8s ported. The Sundown SD is a cool one, underhung coil.
So what are the best 8's out there for my stuff, DD's?These 8s are no joke. Space makes bass. Proper airspace with a smaller sub will be all around better than cramped subs. The good 10s need 1 cube minimum plus you have to minus the subs displacement. I'm reality a 8 needs 1 cube, 10 needs 1.25-1.5.
Well I'm a huge DD fan and many would say they make the best subs in the world.... Once you go DD you never go back. I do like the Sundown SD 8 though. Atomic has good ones also.So what are the best 8's out there for my stuff, DD's?
what if i have a 10 inch box?....Well I'm a huge DD fan and many would say they make the best subs in the world.... Once you go DD you never go back. I do like the Sundown SD 8 though. Atomic has good ones also. Those are probably the top 3 in your power range.
