Full Subwoofer Setup. I need advice please.

I bought a 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium in February and it is currently in its stock configuration as far as audio is concerned.

I recently decided I needed to put a subwoofer in it. I haven't really been into car audio in around a decade, so I need a bit of help.

I would rather not have to upgrade my electrical system tbh. So if that is a possibility, that would be awesome.

As far as my preferences, I would like a single subwoofer system. I am also looking for more of a musical and clean sounding subwoofer (as opposed to punchy). For reference, if anyone is familiar with home audio, I run a Definitive Technology Supercube and I am happy with it's performance.

Size wise, I don't really care all that much. 10" or 12" I'm sure are fine. I don't blast my music too loud going down the street, I just hate missing the lower half of the spectrum when I turn on music.

I would also appreciate any advice on enclosures and amps that would pair up nicely.

Thanks a lot for your help and if you need any other information, let me know.

Edit: Oh, Sorry... I would like to stay under 350 for the subwoofer itself. Trying to keep the whole system under or as close to $1000 as I can.

Anyway you can do what you want for way less than $1000. You don't want to much because it will overpower the interior speakers.

Audiocontrol LC-2i on Amazon $80

Single 600 watt 12

Mono 600 watts

Box $150 or so.

4awg amp kit $50

I'll link some options in a bit.

Thanks for the help bud.

Yes, I do have the 12 speaker sony setup.

So, correct me if I am wrong, but if I went with this setup, would it work alright?

Soundqubed HDS212 12 Inch Subwoofer

KnuKonceptz Kolossus 4 Gauge OFC Amplifier Installation Kit

Audiocontrol LC-2i

Also, the Soundqubed sub I have above is one model higher than the one you recommended. Not sure if that messes anything up. 99 bucks just seemed kinda cheap. Also, No clue on what kind of box to get, any recommendations?

I see a lot of people recommending the higher Soundqubed HDC subs or the FI's. Is the difference sound quality, or are they just more expensive because they can get louder?

The 300 series are 1200rms. The 200 are 600rms. You said you didn't want an electrical upgrade, so go with the hds212. The HDC are more of a competition sub.
