And next time I'm at the bars, I might try a glass of the older Jameson. I'm going to have to sample it before getting a whole bottle of the stuff, though.

Or Ardbeg...if you like the peaty Islay malts, Ardbeg is one of the heaviest.

Glenmorangie is also pretty good, but it's a more typical Highland...

there used to be a particular Crown that was good, but it was a small run and isn't made anymore. My old boss just found some on a cruise ship and bought both bottles.

For bourbon I like Woodford reserve. I prefer it over Blantons and its cheaper. Scotch I like Laphroaig, Caol Ila, Ardbeg, Lagavulin..... yea I'm an Islay fan. Talisker is also good. If you like a floral Scotch go for Jura. Johnnie Green isn't to bad for a more commercial vatted malt, but I don't do red or black. Not too much of a fan of Irish... too sweet. Not a big fan of Canadian either.... just not a lot of flavor.
