Trying to find a new whisky or scotch to try.

What I LOVE:

Bushmills and other Irish whisky that is a bit more soft, rounded, and fuller bodied than traditional Scotch whisky.

I really like a higher viscosity to my whisky.

So lets hear it, what should I try next?

Oh yeah, I've tried Glenlivit, Glenfidich, Bushmills, Crown Royal, Makers Mark, and a bunch of kentucky burbon.

I have no tolerance for these at all..especially crown //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sick.gif.b1847c8dabbfeeddbcf1a78052249e10.gif:sick:

Horrible hangovers...i stick with teh beerz

I dislike Jameson, Johny Walker, Jack Daniels, and Makers Mark.....haha, it's decent swill if I'm already hammered and can't taste anything, though.

But I'm looking for something along the lines of Bushmills quality. Something for when I'm only having one glass for the night.

Laphroig is definately up on the list now, though. Thanks tRdoc. A lot of times, I go for Macallan at my local watering hole. I don't think it's something I would get a whole bottle of. Just a once in a while type of taste.

And DownSouth954, definately give Bushmills a try. It rocks for the $. My absolute favorite so far.

And I agree, I do like Crown.

I just hate how so many people drink it and have had it. Sorry, I'm probably just a snob because of that. But I like to be different.

I'm thinking I'm going with either Laphroig or Ardbeg. Anyone compared the two?

I like the tast of Canadian whiskys like VO or Crown Royal. tad bit different from Irish whisky but some good stuff.
if my dad drinks whiskey (which he usually wont touch it because he says he gets mean on it, which i have heard from a few people actually) he drinks black velvet canadian whiskey. ive never looked into it to know if its cheap and shitty or not, but when he bought 5+ bottles of it for my sisters wedding reception and i was taking from the leftover stash for a while, it was cool with me haha

Buffalo Trace or Blanton's. both bourbons, but very smooth. The BT is considerably cheaper and almost as good but the blantons has just a little extra something. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

So the list is now:

Tullamore Dew, Laphroaig, Cragganmore, Ardbeg, Connemara, Redbreast, Black Bush, and Greenore.

I had heard good things about Blantons.

buffalo trace i agree is also good. as well as knob creek. now black velvet down here is 7.99 for a fifth..and it does not taste bad at all for the money.
