what was the best concert you've ever been to?

aerosmith and motley crue in charlotte... it was free AND we had awesome seats

next time tools in town i plan on going, they look like killer shows and theyre one of my favorite bands

hahaha. no krs one haddd soo much nergy. but john mellencamp is very political. everyone only knows him for his trashy songs of jack and diane and hurts so good. but hes a very good performer with a band to back him up with a lot of talent.
Have to admit, Mellencamp was pretty good as well. I seen him in the late 80's with Huey Lewis and the news. Twas a good concert! I was very young at those as well, lol! like 12!

That is probably why I still listen to those bands and think 90% of music sucks now. I just can't get into this pop/country thing going on.

Does anybody know if Tool still does their shows in the dark, well not so much the band, but the lead singer? When I seen them years ago Maynard Keenen was darkened out for some reason. I also heard they did that a lot. They still rocked, just was wierd, especially forking out all that money. Then again I wasn't all that close, but still.

Haven't been to a whole lot of concerts, but all of them were good.

2001 Q101 Jamboree: Disturbed, Papa Roach, Staind, Crazy town, Fuel, Cold, Run-DMC, Alien Ant Farm, Monster Magnet, Linkin Park, Lucky Boys Confusion, From Zero, and Saliva.

-Disturbed kicked some serious *** (they actually filmed part of a music video at the venue I was at), Crazy Town sucked major balls, along with Linkin Park (this is when they were a fairly new band and they REALLY relied on computers and shit, very bad for a live show). Alien Ant Farm and From Zero were pretty good as well. Run-DMC was...well, Run-DMC. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Local H at a small venue

-Completely stoned off my *** and don't remember a d*mn thing....

Poison, Skid Row, Vince Neil

-Poison headlined this one and they put on a good show as well. We missed most of Skid Row since we got there late. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif Vince Neil pretty much relied on playing Motley Crue songs, which was fine with me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

KISS and Poison

-Poison opened up for KISS and once again they did a good job. But man, KISS was f*cking SPECTACULAR live. Talk about putting on a good show. GOD D*MN LOUD though, holy piss. Stacks and stacks and stacks of cabinets, probably about 20-25 feet high. We were probably 50 rows back and I couldn't hear shit afterwards.

ZZ Top, REO Speedwagon, The Pretenders, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and Stray Cats

-Missed all of Joan Jett and most of the Stray Cats. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif REO Speedwagon was good and ZZ Top rocked out. Even for a couple of old guys they had girls throwing their bras at them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

VERY good choice in bands/concerts. I still kick myself in the *** for not going to see Kiss when I was in like 8th grade LOL
I knew you'd like my choices. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Aerosmith and Motley Crue in Dallas. I lost alot of my hearing that night...

Motley Crue opened for aerosmith but it should have been the other way around. They were unreal... the lights and fire and everything was just crazy.
