Very hard to pick one but here are a few of my favorite concerts.
Aerosmith: Get Your Wings
Jethro Tull: Thick as a Brick
Deep Purple: Machine Head...so loud my ears buzzed for 2 days...made it to the front row standing omg.
Kiss: First Album...forgot the name...amazing show
Edgar Winter: They Only Come Out At Night
I was lucky to live 15 minutes from the Providence Civic Center, and hour from the Boston Garden and the Orpheum and 45 minutes from the Worcester Centrum and during the period from 1972 to 1977 went to a concert every friggin weekend. For the first few years you could get floor tickets for around $10 and it was first and fastest to the stage. We, my friends, would get to the venue early and have a party, attracting a fairly large group of partyers, then line up early to be amongst the first in to get as close to the stage as possible.
Security was tight on alcoholic beverages but did not care about weed so it was like a Cheech n Chong movie the air was so thick and so many people were passing bones.
My stack of ticket stubs was around 3 inches tall...So lucky to be a teen in those days. Alas at some time during one of my moves I somehow lost my ticket stubs and sorely regret the loss because I just can't remember all the bands I was lucky enough to see. Every album release had a corresponding tour and nearly all the bands hit the East Coast. Though I was not lucky enough to see The Who, Yes, Led Zep...though I was at the Garden in line to buy tickets when the place erupted in a riot and they cancelled the concert...ugh.
Thanks for the thread and allowing me to reminisce.
