What type of wood to make a box?? HELP?

Yea, 3/4" MDF or birch ply would be my choices....mdf being first due to price and ease of cutting/router, etc.

Some plywood has holes between the sheets which, obviously, is a weak point.

x2..if you can afford it try to get 11 ply birch...it will sound the best but it IS a pain to deal with
