For 8 guage you can probably get away with regular ones.

"regular ones" ? I tried criping one to test with a pair of pliers and could barely get it to bend, these terminals have really thick walls.

take a hammer and your drive way... works fine

They do sell special crimp tools for certain terminals, but you dont really need them.

i use a vice on anything bigge than 8 gauge and just slide some heat shink tubing over it to give it a clean look.

btw, 10 bucks is a rip off for those terminals.
