What type of box is the loudest

For 2 12" I would do about 6cube and use winisd to figure port length..

OK here is what i need to do.right now i have 4 15's in my expedition.i also have 2 memphis 12's(low grade i think)single 4ohm voice coil.i need to make a box for the 12's to replace the 15's when i go on vacations.So what type of box could i make that would be the loudest.I listen to mainly rap music when on vacation.

Technically a huge ported box with a lot of port area tuned to take advantage of your car's resonance frequency would the loudest, since you asked.

Small is often times > than big in spl. Power is just needed to back it up.

6th order bandpass will be one of the more efficient boxes u can use for 2 12's

if designed properly it can be louder than a ported box within a given frequecy range

if u can fit a box that 44wide x 18high 15deep...your good to go(its stil under the window line)

that is exactly what i am trying to do,i listen to mostly rap or anything that my wife dances to on vacation because thats what she listens to

My amp is 3000 watts @1 ohm and 2300 watts @2 ohms so i dont think power will be a problem.the subs are only 200 watts rms:crap: .the spec sheet says 2 cubes tuned to 40 with a 4x8 port.i was wondering if there would be anything to make it louder but i might just try to figure out how to build it the way they say

$15 just for PLANS to build something as simple as a box with at hole in it is absurd. Maybe plans to build an entire wood deck or a shed. WinISD or that site does all the work for you.
