what type of amp??? Is it oK

Ok guys here's my deal. I am about to order a pair of theelemental designs' 6.5in subwoofers for my rear deck, and I will be getting a set of 6.5in Kevlar componants from bravox audio .

My question is that can i run these off of the same amp? My trunk space is kind of limited so i would like to avoid multiple amps if possible. If this is something that i can do, what are some good CHEAP amp?

At 4 ohms that will do 100x2 and 280x1. It's a little on the long side at 18" though. I guess it depends on how you order the subs, because lots of the less expensive 4 channel amps aren't stable at 2 ohms when bridged, so you'll be limited to 4 ohms. You could order the subs as dual 4 to make that work.

As long as the speakers don't demand something that the amp isn't able to deliver, like a low ohm load.

Can you explain why you think there woud be a problem running them off one amp? Something is in your mind is illogical if you aren't sure so maybe it needs to be straightened out before you install.

I have never used a multi-channel amp before. I just wanted to make sure i had my duck in a row before picking one and then installing it.

Multi Channel Amps Are Mainly Used For This Reason. Just Match Your Rms Power On Your Speakers To The Amp Of Choice. Just Remember To Check The Impedance On The Speakers Before Buying The Amp

But anyways you're good to go. You can most definately power those with 1 amplifier.
