What type of 10" sub should I buy and what kind of amp should I power it with???

Soundqubed hds10, 1200wrms 129 shipped. Ct sounds 1400d1, don't the price on that, someone on here will though.
that sub would require a proper ported enclosure. I'm guessing the op's enclosure is a sealed one. With a tiny sealed enclosure like that i'd say his best bet would be a type R 10" inverted... probably the only sub that would work alright in that enclosure. Any of these other brands ppl toss out would require at least 2 cubic feet to do their intended damage.

DC lvl 3 would work just fine in his enclosure. Not saying the type r wouldn't either, but he has options..

yeah but its sad to see a DC restricted in a sealed enclosure but yeah that would work, its gonna take up his most of his budget if he wants to buy new tho. I'm just assuming that the 300-400 dollar budget would be for both subs, amp and installation/wire kits since he wasn't clear about that.

m2 Level 3 10, Droppin HZ Car Audio Here's a link to The DC level 3s OP

Whatever you do op dont get the pioneer champion subs... i'm sure they'll pop up if your searching around for subs in that power range. They are horrible sounding in sealed enclosures.

Yeah, didn't think about that being his entire budget for everything. Type r's would be a good choice then based on price/performance in sealed enclosure.

OP, is it out of the question to build a new enclosure?

I agree with evdrything you just said. The type r would prob be his best bet for his application.
