what subs to get for my amp

I have a kicker kx600.1 amp. i was set up with 2 12" kicker comp subs, while i know they arent the best, i dont think you can get better subs for 100$ a pair. After a year or so, i blew them, and im now in the market to buy some new subs. right now, i have picked out the image dynamic

ID12 v.3 D2 sub. I think the ohm load is correct, and they can handle the amp. my three questions are these:

1.are these good subs/good set up?

2.would i need a new box for these?

3.is there a sub as good or better than these for around the same price, give or take 50$?
