im running a 10" Q. a hifonics 1208 @ 1ohm and i have 0g to a distroblock for my 4channel and sub amp...

what size wire should i run from the amp to the sub?

0g -> distro -> 4g to amp -> ??g to sub

so 10-14 will be fine? id rather be a little bigger and safe then not //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

just use 12-14 for the amount of power you are running 10 guage would be a waste of money.

1200w at 1 ohm will draw over 30A theoretically, but given the assumed over-ratedness of the HF amps plus the dynamic nature of music 12 ga will work fine.

the amp does rated... hifonics just uses 14v instead of 12v. 12v is 85% of 14v which means it would put out roughly 1000w and the q is rated for 1000wrms meaning it will be fine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

What's wrong with 14V?

Based on 8 yrs of over-rated HF brutus sub amps and no significant design changes I will continue to assume they are over-rated until a thorough independent bench test shows otherwise.

They can't even get CEA cert. at 14v/4 ohms.
