I haven't been able to figure that out either. Unless you can see the part numbers on the devices I don't know how they can just look at a amp and say "that looks like quality"well then why is it that people look at the amp and say, wow this is a quality amp?
Define "does not test as well"99% of the noobs would automatically say amp 2. And while a visually stunning with the beefcake build it does not test as well as amp 1. "yeah it is bad@ss looking and one of my fav amps haha"
Both are great amps, but from gut shots you have absolutley no clue.
Amp 1 is a DLS A3
Amp 2 is a US AMPS USA400 "old school"

Is there a link to the tests?Haha, All good, I would have ended up writeing it in a more... @hole tone anyways haha.
For example, which of these amps measures better in every aspect? They are both rated at around 150 - 200x2 and can produce 1200rms bridged... Both class a/b

Thank you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifThat was a low blow. Of the people who have high post accumulation I have respect for squeak. A lot of his posts are actually helpful to the caraudio community, rather than most of it just being off-topic.
If you had a good understanding of electrical circuitry then you could probably look at amp guts and make a fairly close estimate of its potentialWell, apparently you can't say that one amp is better than another lust by looking at the guts, but I'd bet that any amp that is crammed full of big beefy lookin sh!t is probably a descent amp at least as far as output is concerned Idk about sq. If you pop the cover on some cheap ass overrated flea market junk you usually see a handful of not so beefy lookin parts in a case that is way bigger than it needs to be. JMO
