swap a h22 into it thats a good 220 hp motor stock and will end up costing the same as a b series but with more potental for a natraly asperated setup

it also depends on if he plans on just a few upgrades or if he wnts to go all out .. cuz if he wants to go all out he should save for a new engine instead of spending money on upgrades for that engine and then swapping and starting all over as mentioned before ... but if you dnt plan on swapping i say start with CAI or Catback Exhaust ... something simple

id swap cus youl spend 800 on a name brand intake and exhaust and gain 2 hp.not worth it imo. swap can be had for a couple grand. Just like my civic, ur car has no real performance petential with out a swap. itll just get loud and annoying unless you do a swap... then itll be respectibly fast and loud and annoying lol. side note i hated my mr exhaust on my civic...drove me insane

uh... some people need to think, some are dead on

dont get the b16, you can get a b18 easy and very cheap. and it'll run you less then the h22 and be better for turboing stock

the d16 is a piece

make sure you have a stick, honda auto's are nothing but a slushbox

if you dont want to spend that much get i/h/e and maybe cam's

i personally would just leave it stock unless you want to swap the motor
