Ok so im getting a little more serious about car audio and when i get some extra funds id like to move up and get a larger sub or two, this is my current setup and my space issue
Space isnt too much of an issue the seats fold up all the way right up behind the drivers. the current setup is 1 12" and the bass tube is just over a foot and a half long so u can get a guess of the cars width. I plan on running my current amp at 1 ohm and putting and extra battery back there also. i was wondering what size speaker i should go with, I know an 18 moves alot of air but i dont wana hit just low notes id like a good sound throughout the whole song in general. I also have a ported box for 2 15s already so i was thinking about goin with 15s first but id really just like one speaker, i passed up a rockford T1 15 the other day for $100 and im kinda bitten my *** about it but oh well. My current 12 has real high excursion so id like that in my next sub i just dont know should i go with 1 15 in a new box? or should i find 2 inexpensive 15s and throw them in the box i already have just to see if i like it? or should i go with an 18? also how many cubes would you suggest cus im running a rag top, id like alot of SPL but i want some SQ too since i listen to a variety in music and want my songs to sound good.
