What should i get?

I'm in the market for a new sub to replace my 12" Type R, since apparently I just blew it like a vietnamese hooker.

Alpine won't cover it under warranty, will they?

I'm looking for something in the range of $150-$190. It has to be a 12", handle around 400-500w RMS, and produce good SQ and SPL in a 1.1 cubic foot box.

Any suggestions?

Rockford Fosgate HX2 perhaps?

Adire Audio Shiva makes a great 12" woofer for $125. Ask jlaine here on the forums about them and maybe buy one cuz jlaine is an Adire Audio dealer.

no warranty will not replace that.....how the hell did you blow that sub???? i have well over 1000 watts going to mine and i have never even had it bottom out or anything....

Does anyone here own a Shiva? How are they that great? I mean, they have quite a reputation and all, but foam surround? stamped steel basket? What makes them special?
