what should i get..(laptop_

can you get those dells with XP or just vista?
all are vista lapotps..i think you can maybe downgrade but i dont think i will want/need to.

If you're in school, $1272 gets you a MacBook with 2.1ghz core2duo, 2gb ram, 120gb hdd 5400 rpm, and the apple care protection plan.
And $1382 gets you a MacBook with 2.4 Ghz Core2Duo, 2 gb ram, 160gb 5400rpm hdd, superdrive, and protection plan
it also gets me Mac OS leopard which i despise, i use them at school and yes they are fast and efficient, but i prefer windows based pc..by far.

Hey, I'm looking at the Dell Latitude D630- for small business. Seems like a killer deal to me:
14.1" screen

8x DVD Burner

120GB 7200rpm HD

2.5Ghz T9300 intel dual core

128mb NVidia Quatro NVS 135 for:

1169

w/ a ram upgrade your looking at about 1270 or so....

if you didn't think you need that fast of a processor or HD, you could get a 2.2 (T7500) and a 5400 rpm drive (same size) for 145 less.
hell of a deal, i wouldnt need 8x dvd burner considering i bought a samsung external 20x w/ lightscribe..lol, but yea the latitude is a good line, vostro's drew my attention too...i want something with a warranty is why im leaning towards xps 1530.

Dell XPS 1530

Glossy 15.4" screen+2.0mp camera+fingerprint reader

intel core 2 duo t7250 processor

120gig 5400rpm sata HD

Vista premium OS

You're gonna use a Dell coupon code right?

Do you have anything against HP (if you do, then just ignore my subsequent information)? I just got one for $1385.

HP Imprint Finish (Radiance) + Webcam + Microphone

250GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive

my best advice is to wait until july/august though. The companies now that people need back-to-school laptops and the deals will be huge. Coupled with the free-falls in memory prices, along with the suspected-to-plummet SSD prices (along with the new T9*** and T8*** chips) you may be able to get some sweet deals compared to what you can get today.

Just curious.. What do you do on tewindows pc that is easier than on a mac. I never thought I'd go for a mac, but when my second dell motherboard burned out, that's what I used in the dorm comp lab. Loved it. Besides, you can always throw windows on a separate parition using boot camp. Like I said, my Inspiron 6000 was supposed to be Dell's bread-and-butter award-winning laptop, and I have had a ton of problems. I would NEVER EVER recommend Dell to anyone after owning one. The ONLY redeaming feature is CS.

My girl has the Inspiron 6000. Its a piece of crap to me. I have the XPS M1330. I got it loaded with the same specs as that HP laptop posted above for $1389.00 with a Dell coupon. Its been great so far.

yea by far HP has the best hardware for cheapest even better than asus..lol, but ive heard horror stories about support and catastrophic failures with them..

dell's site is down loading carts right now, you must log onto a dell account to do so..at least for me is what worked. and im looking for a 15.4" laptop..but that does look extrordinary, are you using a coupon from dell or what? because i was checking the 830 series out and it was along the price lines as xps when well equiped.

umm.. how did you get those specs for such a small price if i tried outfitting the 1330 like that it would be 2k+, coupons/liquidation/refurb? im intrigued, pm me please..

Constantly check slickdeals.net and bensbargains.net for dell coupon codes. If you want to get a Dell, you definitely should wait for the coupons. The latest one I found was 25% off with coupon code KMQ?ZLS2RVWJ2K [Exp 3/6] Not sure if it has been used up.

I went to slickdeals.net. They said to outfit the top of the line one and it gives you an automatic discount of $768.00 Go to that website, and see if there are any current coupons or promotions for the xps laptops.
