What should I do?

I don't like the sound of two 10s in a ported box in my trunk, way too much bass for what I wanted, I just wanted extra bass but not over doing it. Should I sell the other sub (get speakers with the money), just turn the gain/boost down on the amp, keep the other sub?

What would you do?

Edit: I got the subs BOGO, so I'm really not losing money if I sell the other sub.

Turning down the gain is free and easier then building a new box, so try that first. Can you get a remote gain knob for your amp?

Yeah I could, but the thing is, if I'm not gonna have the gain up very high, then what is the point of having both subs? Couldn't I just set the gain higher on the one sub than lower on the other? Building a new box would cost me maybe $25 so its not like its a lot of money.

Try a single ported 10
