I have a nice sized hole from when the RE mids were in there, and a 2" hole above that hole from the tweeters.

I want to have a "cleaner" look for the next install. In the pic, see the lines on either side of the speaker grill? Im thinking of cutting that section out and replacing it with something like plexiglass or just getting a sheet of abs plastic and replacing it. Thoughts or suggestions on this?

(This pic is not my car, just used to show the section Im talking about.)

That section you want to cut out is screaming to be made into some good looking fiberglass door pods....just my suggestion

I dont trust myself to make anything good looking with fiberglass, though. You think the whole section should be glassed? In my car, the speaker grill is cut out, not too neatly, and theres 2" holes about 6 inches above that where the tweeters were.

I was thinking of having pods made by someone, and just replacing that section with plastic, to take it back to stock look, with the exception of the tweeters, that would be mounted there.

i really have no idea what you are talking about. what is cut out? if you cut that section of the door, you will loos ALOT of strength from your door panel.

imo - pop out that stock grill. get a 1\4" piece of sturdy wood and cut it to that shape. screw it in place (secure it in that stock location) and glass up to the door level, then mount a baffle, and stretch your material... thats what id do.

That speaker grill is cut out....and theres a hole about 6" above that where the tweeter was. I didnt mean to cut it out and just leave it out, but replace the part that is already cut with something else. I was thinking either plexiglass or just similiar plastic to what is already there. The main reason for doing it is because it looks pretty sloppy now, cuts are all jagged, and Id like it to look better.
