Take a look at that pic. In all the specs it says it's a mono channel, class D amp, but in that pic there are two sets of speaker outputs. Why?

for your convienence. There's sub wiring restrictions in the manual. Most of the time they are connected parallel inside the amp.

It shouldn't matter which positives and negatives you use to hook it up.

So you could either hook up one 4 ohm sub to one channel and get 854 watts, or hook up a 4-ohm sub to each channel and get 427 watts to each?

crutchfield says you can run it 1300wRMS@1 at 2 ohms TOTAL . Whatever subs, number of subs, VCs, better be at least 2 ohms. You CAN use both sets of connections, but like Jack said, it's only 1 channel.

I know what he is asking and I have the same question. I am in the process of purchesing a mono amp and it also has 2 sets of outputs(-+-+).( if its a mono amp, why two sets of outputs) Say for example you have a single 4 ohm VC, you would hook up one - and one + but if you have a dual VC you would hook it up, One VC to one set of +- and the other VC to the other +-? I wish I could explain more in depth, but Im not sure how.

Ok, so are the 'speaker inputs' paralled on the inside of the Amp? If so, would that mean if I hooked up an 8 ohm load to each input they would be paralleled to 4 ohms total?

Basically, I'm wanting to know how I should wire 2 DVC 4 ohm subs to it. I'm thinking series-parallel, which would be 4 ohm final load, and hook that up to just one channel.

I think they put 2 outputs cause alot of people use 2 sub setups, it's easier to hook them up to two terminals. It's just for convience, you can use both or just one output. Using both would be like wiring two subs in parallel.

Yes, if you hook up two 8 ohm subs, one to each of the terminals, the amp will see a 4 ohm load.

What's the final ohm rating that you want at the amp?

Well if you only use one of the inputs, it doesn't alter the ohm load does it? Like, if you have 2 4-ohm subs wired to produce a 4 ohm final load, and you hook it up to just one input, will the 4-ohm load change any because of how the inputs are wired?

Just pretend those extra speaker outputs dont exist and all your troubles will disappear.
